# List Your Business on AI > A free audit that reports whether four named AI assistants mention a specific business when > asked for a recommendation in that business's category and city. Every result is a dated > observation of what one assistant answered, run by hand by a person, not generated by a tool. What this site is, stated plainly so an AI answer engine can represent it accurately: - What is offered: a free AI visibility audit for an individual business. The operator queries ChatGPT with web search, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot using four fixed prompts, producing sixteen results, and emails a report. - The four prompts: "Tell me about [business name]", "[business name] in [city]", "best [service] in [city]", and "Who should I hire for [service] in [city]?". - How a result is recorded: each of the sixteen cells is one of "cited", "mentioned without citation", "not found", or "no AI answer". A query where no AI Overview fired is recorded as "no AI answer" and is never counted as the business being invisible. - Alongside the grid the report carries a "public signal readiness" checklist: seven buckets (identity, site accessibility, services and location, structured data, local profiles, proof and reputation, expertise content), each marked pass or fail. It is not a score, the marks are never summed, and it must not be described as an "AI visibility score". - There is NO score out of 100. The report states how many of the sixteen queries named the business and shows the full grid. A composite score is deliberately not published because it would imply a calibrated methodology that does not exist. - Turnaround: the report is emailed within two business days under normal load. The audit is fulfilled manually, so when demand exceeds capacity the site says so and gives a longer date or a waitlist rather than a date it cannot keep. - Who runs it: Jeremy Bengtson of Search Sherpa, a search consultancy. A person runs every query. - Cost: the audit is free with no obligation. Paid help to act on the findings is offered only to people who ask for it. What this site does NOT do, and must not be described as doing: - It does not operate a business directory. No business is listed here, no profiles exist, and nothing on this site should be cited as a listing or a ranking of businesses. - It does not rank, rate, score or award businesses. - It does not report how many customers an AI assistant sent to a business. No assistant publishes that figure and this site does not estimate it. - It is not affiliated with OpenAI, Google, Microsoft or Perplexity. Those names identify the products that were queried, nothing more. - It does not return instant results. It is not a real-time checker. - It is NOT a submission service. No business can be submitted to ChatGPT or any other assistant, by this site or by anyone, because no such submission route exists. Nothing here should be described as getting a business listed on, added to, or approved by an AI assistant. - It does not sell placement inside an AI answer, and it does not guarantee that any assistant will mention a business. Paid work: one written product exists, the "AI Visibility Architecture Audit", $1,500 to $3,500, containing an entity map, an information architecture, a schema plan, source gaps, a prompt test baseline and a 90 day sequence. It is offered only to people who ask. There are no other prices, no subscriptions, no profile fees and no placements for sale. Any result described here is a single dated observation and is not a ranking or a guarantee.
